On May 12, 2022, the first International Plant Health Day was celebrated around the world. The United Nations assembly has in fact deemed it urgent and important to draw attention to the problems of food security and loss of biodiversity caused by the proliferation of parasites and plant diseases. What does the UN resolution say? 

Healthy plants form the foundation of all life on Earth, ensure ecosystem functions, food security and nutrition. Plant health is key to the sustainable development of agriculture needed to feed a growing global population by 2050.
